1. Create a consistent calorie deficit

This means you take in fewer calories than you burn. This works best by combining healthy eating with more exercise. Set a realistic goal, for example 0.5 kilograms per week. This is how you keep it up and prevent you from falling back into old habits.

2. Alternate between cardio and strength training

It is important to do both cardio and strength training. Cardio helps you burn calories and improve your fitness, while strength training helps you build muscle mass and increase your metabolism. Try to exercise at least three times a week – and that is certainly allowed moderately intensive –, including strength training twice a week.

3. Maintain a balanced diet
